Mi 8 Helicopter Prevents Halt in Production

A world-renowned automotive supplier was seriously threatened by flooding last week when his entire factory in Sandomierz (Poland) was surrounded by water. The 2000 workers spent several days fighting the flooding with sandbags.
During the crisis, Deutsche-Helikopter helped transport car windows produced at the factory to safety. The car windows were packaged in special pallets wrapped in additional safety film. The MI 8 helicopter provided by Deutsche-Helikopter spent two days flying the finished windows from the factory to a parking lot close by. From there, trucks transported the car windows to production sites around Europe. The use of the freight helicopter prevented a complete halt in production in multiple factories of well-known automotive suppliers.
